Born 12th March 1933 this West Bromwich schoolboy joined the Albion in 68 years ago in May signing professional forms in April 1950. Ken Hodgkisson made 21 appearances scoring 4 goals. Ken played at a time that we had a great forward line in Allen & Nicholls so opportunities were few and far between. He made his debut versus Aston Vlla in April 1953 at Villa Park. He left The Hawthorns for Walsall in December 1955 for £1600 and stayed for 11 years making over 350 appearances, before going non league with Worcester, Dudley Town, Greets Green before returning to the Baggies on the coaching staff in 1975 until 1985. Ken did some scouting for Derby for 3 years.
Ken is a keen follower of the Albion and can be seen at many games in the company of his daughter Debbie. Ken has not moved far from his roots as he still resides in Greets Green, West Bromwich with his wife Beryl and other daughter Allison.
