Tony Brown’s monumental contribution to the history of the Albion was recognised on Sunday May 17th when he was presented with a plaque to commemorate his selection as the club’s representative on the Walk of Stars in Broad Street, Birmingham. The actual star itself will be laid later this year.

Bomber won an online poll, beating Cyrille Regis, Bob Taylor, Bobby Hope and Jonathan Greening in the vote, adding he star to the host of Albion records that he already holds.
Bomber said, “I can’t tell you how pleased and humbled I was to be named as the Albion player who is going to receive the star on the Walk of Stars in Birmingham. The fact that it was voted for by the supporters is what makes it so special because I’ve been lucky enough to have a great bond with the fans both as a player and ever since I finished as well. They’ve been great to me and it is a special thing, a great honour, to win any award that they vote for. It means a great deal.

“I just hope I have given them as much back as they’ve given to me. I may not have been the best player Albion have ever had, but I don’t think there have been any more loyal. And that’s what this game is about, loyalty. There’s nothing more important than standing by your club.
