Arthur Wharton

west bromwich albion former playersArthur Wharton

100 years ago the first Black Player made his debut for England, now our President Brendon tells us he is only in his late 50’s but surely photographs do not lie!

He has either lived an extraordinary life and drew his pension some 40 years ago or he has a relative that he did not realise was part of the Family!

The likeness between Arthur Wharton and our esteemed President is so canny that they must be related.

They certainly have one thing in common they have both been pioneers for Black Footballers in this Country and deserve all the plaudits bestowed on them.

However, I think we should study the Wharton & Batson Family Trees!
